Which crypto companies hold a MiCA license? This register lists every crypto-asset service provider (CASP) in the European Union and the wider European Economic Area that appears in ESMA’s interim MiCA register: 359 firms, 357 of them currently authorized, in 27 countries. For each firm it shows the national regulator, the authorization date, the MiCA services it may provide and the countries where it has notified cross-border services.

How a MiCA license works
The Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) requires firms that provide crypto-asset services in the EU to be authorized by a national regulator, such as BaFin in Germany, the AMF in France or the Central Bank of Ireland. An authorization in one country can be “passported”: the firm notifies its regulator and can then offer the same services across the EEA. MiCA defines ten services, from custody and trading platforms to exchange, order execution, advice and transfers. The register records which of them each firm may provide. As of the September 24, 2026 update, the register does not list Binance, Bitget, MEXC or HTX among authorized providers. Regulators’ warnings about firms offering crypto services without a license are collected in MiCA warnings.
Stablecoin issuers authorized under MiCA
Under MiCA, a stablecoin that references a single official currency is an e-money token (EMT). It can only be issued by a bank or an electronic money institution that has published a white paper. ESMA’s register lists these issuers:
