SearchMonerium EURe (EURe) is a euro-backed stablecoin issued by Monerium hf. (Iceland), launched in 2022. Regulation: electronic money institution supervised by the Financial Supervisory Authority of the Central Bank of Iceland; EURe is an e-money token under MiCA. It is on ESMA’s list of e-money tokens under MiCA.
Safeguarded in segregated accounts at Arion Bank (Iceland), LHV Bank (Estonia) and State Street Global Advisors, mostly in the State Street EUR Liquidity LVNAV Fund. Reserve reporting: annual audited statements; no separate public reserve attestation.
Holders who become Monerium customers can redeem at par at any time by SEPA transfer, and Monerium says issuance and redemption are free. The issuer lists 7 networks where the token is issued natively: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Gnosis, Polygon, Base, Linea and Noble.
